Silves

Yesterday we went round the town of Silves. I first visited here in 2019 but didn’t have time to explore the place, we passed by on a 24km hike. So it was time to revisit and have a look see.

What stunned me was we stumbled across the pizzeria cum bar we used all those years back and it had not changed one little bit!

I have to say I find the Islamic influence on southern Mediterranean fascinating, they truly enriched European culture and understand many centuries ago.
