Vilamoura Marina
It’s clear that it’s now off season for the majority of tourists as the marina is not too busy. This week it is the ILCA Masters European sailing championship races so +300 small yachts dashing about. It’s also evident with the number and size of motor cruisers berthed there is plenty of money in Europe…

Then onto Lunga to see the colony of Puffins that nest there every year. Fascinating birds, not at all fazed by tourists as they keep predators away.…

Iona
A short ferry to Iona, and a visit to the Abbey. One of Christianity’s sacred sites. Founded by St Columba in 563 and a place of pilgrimage ever since. Well worth visiting even on wet, cold and windy days like today.

Isle of Mull
Today a wee drive from home in Glasgow to the Isle of Mull. We are here for a week, hopefully to see Puffins and possibly more wildlife. These images are the typical views of this beautiful country we are so lucky to have to live in.
